A new event as part of the Estate al Maggio, an event included in the program "Estate Fiorentina 2024"

On Thursday, July 11, 2024 at 9 p.m., in the Mehta Hall, the collaboration with the Florence Philharmonic "Gioachino Rossini" is renewed after one year.

On the podium is maestro Giampaolo Lazzeri.

Soloist Marco Martelli, first double bass of the Orchestra del Maggio.

In collaboration with the National Symphonic Band of Malta

Florence, July 9, 2024 - One year after their last performance, the collaboration between the Teatro del Maggio and the Gioachino Rossini Philharmonic Orchestra of Florence is renewed for a concert scheduled as part of the Estate Fiorentina 2024 and the Estate al Maggio 2024 on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at 9 p.m. in the Zubin Mehta Hall. Members of the Rossini Philharmonic are joined by a compact section of the Malta National Symphonic Band.

On the podium is maestro Giampaolo Lazzeri.

On the bill is a challenging program consisting of classical to contemporary musical pages declined in original writings for band with compositions by James Barnes, Franco Cesarini, Giovanni Bottesini, John Mackey, Gustav Holst, and Ferde Grofé.
