Florence, January 17th, 2025 – After the great success of the first edition of “C’è musica & musica”, staged at the end of 2023, the curtain rises at the Teatro del Maggio, starting from January 19th and 'till December 21st with nine events, on the new cycle dedicated to young people and families, “C’è musica e musica 2.0”: the title itself is a reference to the composer Luciano Berio, just over twenty years after his death, and to his famous television program dedicated precisely to the dissemination and teaching of music.

Throughout the year, Maggio will therefore propose again – with “C’è musica & musica 2.0” – the fresh, lively and above all fun initiative to bring the audience closer to the theatre and the great charm of its performances: nine events (eight in the morning, all at 11 am, and one in the afternoon at 4 pm) scheduled until the Christmas Concert of 2025 – which will close the cycle – thanks to which not only the various aspects that make up a show will be told in an original way, but also, for example, the various instruments that make up an orchestra with their role and the importance they have. The events, all scheduled in Zubin Mehta Hall, will be divided into two parts over the weekends: six concerts that will accompany the audience until late spring and another three that will be staged during next fall.

Sunday, January 19th at 11 am “Giocando con la musica!” is scheduled, with maestro Aram Khacheh on the podium of the Mehta Hall leading theMaggio Musicale Fiorentino Orchestra. The morning concert starts with the Edmund Angerer's Sinfonia dei giocattoli (which some attribute to Leopold Mozart or Franz Joseph Haydn) followed by the Symphony in F sharp minor Hob:I:45, known as Degli addii, by Franz Joseph Haydn.

The show will be presented by Cristina Bersanelli: winner of the 2017 Abbiati-Siebaneck Award, awarded to her by Italian music critics for the Opera Azione Libertà project inspired by the "Su il sipario" series, she has been involved in music education and opera for over twenty years.

Trained at the Conservatory of Florence, Aram Khacheh has collaborated with the Milano Chamber Orchestra and has numerous productions under his belt with the Orchestra “I Musici di Parma”; more recently he made his debut at the helm of the Filarmonica dell’Opera Italiana “Bruno Bartoletti” and is among the founders of the “Bazzini Consort”, of which he is currently artistic and musical director and with whom he has held numerous symphonic and chamber concerts.

During the long and exciting cycle, numerous protagonists are expected in the various shows, including some of the solo parts of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Orchestra, the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Children's Choir with its director Sara Matteucci, which includes the narrators and reciters who will present and tell the audience about the various shows, including Lorenzo Baglioni and Gaia Nanni, highly appreciated Florentine actors also known for their television and film appearances who return to the Maggio stage following the great success of the first edition of C'è musica & musica. Another welcome return is that of Alfonso Antoniozzi, who will be the protagonist of Pierino e il Lupo on May 24th, one of the most appreciated baritones of his generation and also one of the protagonists of the last cycle of events. They are joined by the many talented conductors and conductors on the podium of the Mehta Hall, including Aram Khacheh, Nima Keshavarzi and Danila Grassi.

Thanks to the collaboration with Unicoop Firenze, an area dedicated to the very young has been set up in a space adjacent to the Foyer bar area, with stationery products from the ecological ViviVerde Coop line that provides the kids with writing and drawing materials. A small breakfast is also included in the ticket price.
