Convention signed between the Scuola Superiore della Magistratura and the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Theatre
Florence 20 December 2024 - The President of the Scuola Superiore della Magistratura, Silvana Sciarra, and the Superintendent of the Fondazione Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Carlo Fuortes, signed an agreement a few days ago, at the didactic headquarters of Villa Castel Pulci in Scandicci, aimed at encouraging the interaction of young magistrates, during their internship, in the cultural life of the city of Florence.
On the basis of the agreement, during their training sessions at the Scandicci School, the Ordinary Magistrates on Traineeship (so-called MOTs) will have the opportunity to attend cultural activities and shows promoted by the Foundation.
The initiative is set in a context of intense activity of the SSM, which will see an unprecedented number of MOTs, between 1,200 and 1,400, in addition to ordinary magistrates, pass through the classrooms of Villa Castel Pulci, with a very significant commitment in terms of human and economic resources. Of these, about 600, winners of the competition for access to the ordinary magistracy by Ministerial Decree 22.10.2024, began their theoretical, practical and deontological training on 9 December.
During 2025, probably in spring, another 400 or so magistrates, winners of the competition announced by the Ministry of Justice in October 2022, will start their initial training. In addition, the correction procedures of the written papers of another competition for access to the judiciary, announced in October 2023, are nearing completion: for these magistrates, the initial training at the School should start by next autumn.
